Overview

To support advocacy around the integration of migration into national development policy, UN IOM commissioned a series of documentary short films.

The aim was to capture on-the-ground stories that illustrate how migration affects and is shaped by policy in action.

What We Did

• Produced a series of short films highlighting the importance of mainstreaming migration into national policy frameworks

• Filmed on location in South Africa and Mozambique with multilingual crews and local partners

• Captured personal stories, expert commentary, and field implementation footage

• Delivered final edits for use in high-level international forums, internal advocacy, and social media

Result

A powerful, human-centered series that elevated the policy conversation, made it tangible for stakeholders, and supported UN IOM’s mission to promote safe, informed, and well-integrated migration. The films were screened at global UN summits and distributed online.
